By the dining table in the kitchen, Hiroki and his mother sat down on one evening in the first week of December and wrote down all the countries in the world, the states in the U.S. as well as the prefectures in Japan to which Mr. Takeuchi had traveled between the twenty years of his career abroad and the years after Hiroki went to study in the U.S in 1996.
Through this session of recollecting his life experience and with our desire to trace his footprints in the world, we discovered that the project itself provided us a lesson of geography.
